Jennifer Sperling is an artist and botanist in North Bend, Oregon. In the past, her artwork has been displayed
alongside that of her mother, Doris "Dixie" Bowman, at the North Bend Public Library. Sadly, Doris's carved art
collection of over 200 items, her beautiful and delicate carved eggs, as well as her handmade bone and ivory
carvings were stolen in October 2009. Jennifer Sperling's carved emu eggs had recently been photographed and
were not with the other collection. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Doris Bowman's stolen
carved art collection please contact her private investigator at (541) 756-5213 or the Coos County Sheriff's
office at (541) 396-3121. Read the World Newspaper's December 5, 2009 article about the theft for more
information. UPDATE: Read the January 15th, 2010 World Newspaper article about arrests being made in the case!
